Brian Kaneshige
Co-Founder / Head Coach
Brian Kaneshige is a two-time Olympic Coach for Team USA Fencing (‘20, ‘24). Prior to opening Polaris Fencing Center in 2024, Brian trained foil fencers preparing for national and international competitions at both the junior and senior levels. His athletes have achieved considerable success at all levels, ranging from placements at NCAA Division 1 Fencing programs to Olympic qualification.
As a competitor, Brian trained under Olympic Coaches Buckie Leach, Jed Dupree, and Sean McClain. Brian represented Team USA for over a decade and qualified for three Cadet & Junior World Championship Teams.
Brian is a graduate of Harvard University, where he was a four-time All-American and served as captain of the Men’s Fencing Team. Brian is also currently an assistant coach at New York University.

Jackie Dubrovich
Co-Founder / Coach
Jackie Dubrovich is a two-time Olympian for Team USA Fencing ('20, '24). She won a Team Gold Medal in Women's Foil at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, a historic achievement that no other USA Fencing Team had ever accomplished. Jackie was ranked in the Top 12 of the Senior World Rankings from 2021-2024 and qualified for 10 World Championship teams over her career.
Jackie is a graduate of Columbia University, where she was a four-time All-American and a two-time captain of the Fencing Team. Under her leadership, Columbia won the NCAA Championships in 2015 and 2016.
Jackie's love for the sport began at age 8, and she remains passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of foil fencers. Fencing has played an instrumental role in Jackie's life, and coaching is her way of giving back to the community.

Christina Kaneshige
Coach (starting May 2026)
Christina Kaneshige is a veteran fencer and coach. She was a member of the 2025 Veteran World Team in Veteran-40 Women's Foil and Epee (winning one silver and two bronze medals) and has previously been ranked in the top 16 in Senior Women's Foil and Epee.
Christina is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a captain of the Women's Fencing Team. She was a two-time NCAA Championships participant, Academic All-Ivy, and first team All-Ivy. During her time at Penn, the women's fencing team won its first Ivy League Championship in the school's history.
Christina is a lifelong educator and worked as a New York City high school teacher for ten years. She believes that fencing has the ability to teach fencers essential life skills such as handling adversity and overcoming challenges in a healthy and constructive way.
